For OPC Students and Alumni the 2020-2021 academic year is a different kind of school year.   

As we move from crisis-response to a ‘new normal’, I want to thank my amazing faculty team and our teaching assistants from both last year and our new batch from this Sept., for all their support and hard work in meeting all the challenges of completing last year’s courses and preparing for a new year that still holds lots of uncertainty.

Our approach to supporting our OPC community prioritizes the health, wellness and safety of all our members; seeks to minimize disruptions while facilitating a rich academic and experiential learning experience; and recognizes that the impacts of COVID-19 on students and alumni are both uneven and evolving.  

Thus, OPC has been offering our program online for this Fall

semester. All lectures, workshops, Lab’s, clinical supervision have been held via Zoom and practicum students have been seeing clients virtually as well.

As we continue to monitor and follow all public health directives, as well as direction from the Ministry we can almost certainly say that we will be delivering our program through virtual means for the rest of the 2020/21 Academic year.  

We look forward to continuing to develop dynamic content and experiential learning through these new modes of teaching and learning and hope that the alumni will join the OPC student body for inclusive and transformative experiences in a safe and healthy community.
